Puppy Class Information
Age Requirements: Puppies should be between 10-16 weeks old
Class Length:1-hour class each week for 6 weeks
Two sets of vaccinations and a first deworming are required prior to attending. Please bring proof to the first class. A vet receipt is fine. We also ask that puppies be kept up-to-date on vaccines throughout the class.

Frequently asked questions about Puppy class
Not at all. Many puppies are naturally cautious in new environments. Our classes are designed to help puppies build confidence at their own pace through positive experiences, gentle guidance, supervised socialization, and fun training games.
That’s completely normal — puppies are babies learning in a very stimulating environment. Group classes actually help puppies learn how to focus around distractions while building self-control and attention skills over time.
Puppy biting and mouthing are very common developmental behaviors. We’ll help you understand why puppies bite, how to redirect it appropriately, and how to teach calmer behaviors without harsh corrections.
Puppies should have at least two sets of vaccinations and a first deworming before attending class. Please bring proof of vaccines to your first class.
Yes! We encourage family involvement whenever possible so everyone can learn how to communicate consistently with your puppy.
Children may attend class if
-able to stay quietly in their seat for the entire class session
- there is one adult to supervise each child
- an adult is in control of the dog’s leash
Yes — supervised puppy socialization is an important part of class. Puppies are carefully matched by size, temperament, and play style to help create safe, positive experiences.
Please bring:
You must bring proof of vaccinations with you to the first class. (Unless provided online when booking.)
Bring your dog on the leash and collar that you’re currently using. (The only leash we do not allow at the training center are the retractable/flexi leashes—just a standard fixed length leash is great.)

Life happens! While we encourage attending every session for consistency, instructors are happy to help you stay on track. Each week you will receive an email reviewing that class lesson, even if you cannot attend that class. We will be happy to go over that information with you.

We use a combination of obedience training and concept training, along with “choosing games.”
While obedience training teaches dogs specific cues, concept training helps dogs develop focus, confidence, self-control, and thoughtful decision-making in real-life situations. Choosing games helps dogs use their brain, and figure out what works and doesn't work.
Our goal is not only to teach dogs what to do, but to help them want to make good choices while building a stronger relationship with their people.
